Body Transformation Diaries – Week 1

I was so nervous going into the Programme as a complete newbie beginning my fitness journey! Although I was quickly put at ease when I met with trainer Mark and the rest of the group. I quickly found out that the Programme would be extremely supportive and inclusive. There was also zero pressure to be the very best in my first class!

It has been great to properly move my body again after such a long time too. During the group training sessions, Mark shows us how to correctly do each exercise to avoid injury. He provides variations of each exercise too, so we can work at our own pace and ability. Throughout the workout, Mark will come around to help us improve our posture and get the most out of our training.

I met with Mark during the week to go over nutrition and take measurements as well. Mark provided some great information on ways I can make small changes to improve my nutrition. There is a lot to think about, so Mark made me a simple meal plan I can refer back to as needed!

This whole week I have tried really hard to track my meals too. Combined with the group training classes, it has already paid off, as I am officially down 2.4kg after week 1!

This Body Transformation Programme has been a great way to start focusing on creating healthy habits, something I was seriously lacking! It’s easy to put the blame on being tired, and not being motivated, but you have to motivate yourself! I will say that it has been SO MUCH EASIER having the accountability of the group training environment. It helps me show up each week, and has quickly become a highlight of my week!

Though I am still a complete beginner to the health and fitness world, I have made a start, and that is what counts! Plus, it has been really fun so far! A huge credit to Mark and Arena Fitness for running this awesome Programme, I will be recommending to everyone!
