Blitz focuses on progression, with high intensity work outs designed to boost the metabolism for faster fat loss, as well as building muscle and strength.

Completing the Blitz program at Arena fitness has had a very positive impact on both my mental and physical wellbeing. I finished the program significantly stronger, fitter and toned but also with much improved confidence, sleeping and eating habits. I was a bit concerned that it might be too competitive or that I would not be able to keep up as I had just recently recovered from a major operation. What I was met with however, was enthusiasm, encouragement and acceptance. Shane has a wealth of knowledge in both fitness and health and his passion and willingness to share that was inspirational. As a direct result of this program I have been able to resume playing netball, a sport I thought I had to give up due to age and re occurring injuries. The confidence, strength and fitness I have gained from completing Blitz has reopened this door and dispelled some very strong misperceptions I held regarding my fitness and ability. I cannot recommend the Blitz enough, and will be coming back for more! The instructor, Shane, has the ability to give you the kick in the ass you need to achieve your fitness or weight-loss goals with some tough love and humour to boot. It was great being able to have exercises adapted for added difficulty or to cater the numerous long-term injuries I have, as well as having a good variety of exercises or HIIT to keep things fresh. The classes are challenging, but well worth it for the results, and you find yourself pushing as far as you are able - even if it's only a half burpee. Within the first six weeks, my fitness and energy had increased dramatically with the added benefit of a smaller waistline. Highly recommend the programme and the trainer!

Blitz is a fun group orientated way to get fit. I find committing to something like this helps me to regularly show up at the gym. It’s easy to come up with an excuse not to go, but joining something like this helps me to keep going. My results were very good until Covid arrived which interrupted things somewhat. We were supported during lockdown with workouts to do from home and then we continued the rest once lockdown lifted. I am looking forward to starting the next round of blitz and doing way better with my results this time.
