Arena Fitness does not believe in diets, by introducing individualised meal plans we aim to create a culture of eating well balanced meals specific to your workout plans, goals and daily lifestyle. There will be NO fad diets, NO restrictions – you may continue to enjoy the foods you like.

What you will receive: An initial consultation to cover off what you want to achieve whether it is a long term or short term goal, receive a personalised meal plan and nutrition note book to document what you are consuming daily – this will help you monitor how your days are tracking. Initial measurements and weight is also included.

So to set a goal correctly, you want to make sure it’s a SMART goal. What is a smart goal?

Specific: a specific goal has a much greater chance of success then a general one. To set a specific goal you must answer these questions, who is involved? What do you want to accomplish? When you want to have your goal achieved by? And why? As in why do YOU actually want this? Not why you think you should. Purpose is the driving force for the body you want.

Measureable: When you measure your progress, you stay on track, reach your target dates, and experience the exhilaration of achievement that spurs you on to continued effort required to reach your goal. You can also see exactly where you are at and how far you are from where you want to be.

Attainable: goals should be attainable. They should be reasonable given your situation, yet be a bit of a challenge. But not too far out that you cannot reach them. Realistic: your goals should also be realistic, in that you truly believe you will be accomplish it. You are willing, have the talent and are committed to making them happen.

Time frame: if you want to lose 5kgs, when do you want to lose it by? “Someday” doesn’t work. And the journey to the body you want will drag on forever and ever if you don’t put a solid deadline on WHEN you are absolutely committed to being there. Most people resist and dread pressure like this because they don’t want to look like a fool if they fail to achieve by that date. Remember the difference between a lump of coal and a diamond IS heat and pressure.
